The team was established in 1992 when Wayne Huizenga received a Miami NHL franchise. Being lead by goalie John Vanbiesbrouck, the Panthers almost won their first Stanley Cup in the 1996 NHL season, only to be swept by the Colorado Avalanche. Kevin Dineen, the AHL’s Portland Pirates' head coach, was signed to the Panthers taking the position of Peter Deboer, who was fired for a previously bad season.

The Florida Marlins have won 2 World Series Championships since their introduction to MLB in 1993. They have never placed 1st in their division; in 1997 and 2003 the Marlins made it to the playoffs when they were chosen as the Wild Card pick.
Tony Perez and Andre Dawson are two hall-of-famers that have come from the Florida Marlins. The Florida Marlins are the first MLB team to ever have a dance team during the 7th inning stretch. They are the main influence behind other MLB teams beginning cheer squads for their teams. There are currently plans for relocating the Marlins to Miami and building a Field where the Orange Bowl once stood.

The Miami Heat’s last Championship win was in 2006 against the Dallas Mavericks, winning the series 4-2. The Heat shared a Rivalry with the Chicago Bulls during the 90’s, which is starting to heat up again.
Miami Dolphins | NFL
The Miami Dolphins are known for being the team of All-Star Quarterback Dan Marino and famous running back Ricky Williams. Joe Robbie was the founder of the Dolphins back in 1966 when they were added to the NFL because of the AFL expansion.
The Dolphins made their first Super Bowl appearance in 1972 against the Dallas Cowboys, but lost. The team then went on to win two Super Bowls consecutively in 1973 and 1974, completing the first perfect season in the NFL during their 1973 season.
